His Excellency Nasser Hassan AlShaikh brings decades of leadership experience in financial stewardship and National development. A qualified financial professional with credentials in both the UAE and the United States, he currently serves as Chairman of Al Shaikh Holdings - a diversified investments enterprise with a multi-disciplinary mandate.

Over the course of his public career, His Excellency has been entrusted with a number of senior roles of strategic importance - including Director-General of the Department of Finance - Government of Dubai, member of The Executive Council - a government institute entrusted with formulating and steering Dubai’s strategic plan, and as a member of the Supreme Fiscal Committee - Government of Dubai.

He has also held leadership roles in the private and public sector in property development, finance, education, consumer savings products, retail and corporate banking, and aerospace.

His Excellency has chaired Amlak Finance PJSC, Deyaar Development PJSC, Taaleem PJSC and vice-chaired National Bonds Corporation PJSC, the Sharia-compliant National Savings Scheme of the UAE. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, Dubai Islamic Bank and the Dubai Real Estate Corporation (Wasl).

Previously, he was Head of Finance and Administration for The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and Chief Financial Officer at the Dubai Office.

Matar Hamdan Sultan Hamad Al Ameri is a UAE national with extensive experience in top executive positions in both public and private enterprises, as well as over 30 years of experience in the oil & gas sector in and finance and investment functions.

Al Ameri currently serves as Managing Director of Jenaan, a major agricultural production and operation company, and Managing Director of Magenta Enterprise Investment, a French food retail enterprise. He previously served as Director, Finance & Investment Directorate of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), which comprises ADNOC Group and various Company Subsidiaries.

Al Ameri holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting / Info Systems from the UAE University, and a certificate of Audit Practice with M/s. Arthur Andersen in the USA, the UK and the UAE.

Maha Abdulmajeed Alfahim has ten years’ international government experience across the UAE, USA and Canada. She also has significant capital markets experience, having been an Investment Manager and Economic analyst at Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA).

Alfahim is a UAE national and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Double Major in Political Science and International Comparative Studies (Honors), alongside a Minor in Middle Eastern and North African Studies.

Wafik is the Acting Chief Executive Officer at SHUAA Capital psc.

He joined the Group in May 2023 from Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director in charge of Investment Banking and Capital Markets across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Wafik advised on high-profile transactions in the region across M&A and ECM, including Omantel’s USD 2.2 billion acquisition of a stake in Zain Group, ADQ’s USD 740 million acquisition of Amoun Pharmaceutical, Noon’s USD 335 million acquisition of Namshi, Careem’s USD 500 million private placement, Aramco USD 29.4 billion IPO, etc.
Wafik holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from ESCP Europe, Paris.

Mr. Fakhoury was appointed to the Board of Directors in November 2023, bringing valuable expertise from a diverse range of industries alongside skills in corporate governance, regulatory affairs, and compliance matters.

Mr. Fakhoury currently serves as a Senior Advisor to PwC Middle East and has 44 years’ experience across Audit, Risk Assurance, Transaction Services, Consulting, Tax Services, and Disputes Analysis. He also has a wealth of experience across a range of sectors including Banking and Insurance, Real Estate, Industrials and Oil & Gas. He is a UK Certified and Chartered Accountant, and Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant.
